I conduct individual therapy with adults and adolescents. I tend to focus on issues of complex trauma, loneliness, relationship issues, sexuality, gender identity, and religious/spiritual issues.
Though I work with people of all different backgrounds, I have had extensive experience in working with people of color, university/graduate students, medical residents, and LGBTQ+ people.

I practice psychoanalytic therapy, which consists of me providing a non-judgmental atmosphere where people can make meaning of their lives, understand how their past affects the present, and help them figure out why they get stuck in patterns which cause them suffering. This type of therapy helps people understand why they end up acting or feeling in ways that are against what they say they want for themselves.
This style of therapy relies on the idea that there is an unconscious mind, and that sometimes, the feelings and beliefs we repress deep down and "forget" about can be the root cause of difficulties in our day-to-day functioning. Psychoanalytic therapy encourages that patients share their dreams, fantasies, and all sorts of desires with the therapist.
I also integrate skills from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) as needed, in cases of more severe emotional dysregulation. I have training in somatic experiencing therapy as well, but do not accept patients solely looking for somatic therapy.

I am currently accepting new clients. However, my availability is limited — please make sure to fill out the scheduling portion on my contact page for a prompt response. This page is updated regularly.
I am a licensed psychologist in New York State only. I cannot see clients located outside of New York.
I currently practice at Montefiore-Einstein Psychiatry Associates (Telehealth & In-Office visits in the Bronx), and accept Aetna, Anthem/Blue Cross-Blue Shield, MonteCare, or out of pocket full-fee payment.
For those not looking to use insurance, or who want to use their out-of-network benefits, my fee is $380-420 per session (depending on the frequency of sessions, intensity of treatment, etc.).
I do not have any low-fee slots open at this time. If you have insurance that I do not accept, I am able to accept out-of-network benefits to cover all/part of my fee. You will have to pay my fee out of pocket or by credit card, and submit invoices to get reimbursed by your insurance company. We can speak more about navigating insurance on an intake call, or you can call your insurance to inquire about out-of-network behavioral health benefits.
Please click “Contact Me” at the top of the page and fill out the form provided there. I will respond during regular business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).
If this is an emergency, please contact 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency room.
